Commercial Pizza Oven Cost: Budget by Capacity Class
Reviewed September 12, 2026 · Planning guidance, not manufacturer-certified output.
The sticker price is only one part of the project. A cheaper oven can become the expensive choice if it forces new utilities, extra ventilation work or a second oven because capacity was undersized.
Budget by equipment class
Commercial pizza ovens range from compact countertop units to five-figure high-output systems. Rather than anchoring on one price, build a budget around the output class you need and then add site-specific installation costs.
Costs beyond the oven
- Freight, delivery and rigging
- Stand or stacking kit
- Electrical service or gas connection
- Ventilation, hood and make-up air where required
- Fire suppression and permitting where required
- Startup, calibration and training
- Service access and preventive maintenance
The expensive sizing mistake
Undersizing can be costlier than buying one class larger because the eventual fix may require a second oven, additional ventilation capacity and another installation. Oversizing also has a cost in capital, footprint and idle capacity. Size around peak demand plus a defensible margin.

2026 screening price ranges
Current U.S. buying guides show a very wide spread by oven class. These are screening ranges, not quotes; brand, controls, fuel, condition and installation can move the final project substantially.
| Equipment class | Typical new-equipment screening range |
|---|---|
| Countertop electric | about $300–$2,500 |
| Single-deck gas, 36–48 in | about $2,500–$7,000 |
| Double-deck gas | about $5,500–$14,000 |
| 32-in conveyor | about $7,000–$20,000 |
| 40–70-in conveyor | about $18,000–$60,000 |
| Commercial wood-fired / hybrid | roughly $9,000–$35,000+, with premium imported systems higher |

Build a project budget, not an oven-only budget
Before comparing two ovens, put freight, rigging, stands, utility work, ventilation, permits, fire suppression where applicable, commissioning and first-year maintenance on the same worksheet. A lower equipment price can lose its advantage quickly if the installation is more demanding.
